Chae Ju Hyok learned piano at the Instrumental Music Faculty of Pyongyang Music and Dance University (previous name) from the age of 8
Then, he went through the conducting course at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna (Austria) from 2000 to 2006 and graduated with excellent grades.
In 2005 he won the prize at Malko International Conducting Contest in Copenhagen, Denmark, and in 2006 he won Special Prize at the international conducting course in Vienna, Austria.
In 2007 he became a conductor of National Symphony Orchestra and at present he is a conductor and chief of the creation department of National Symphony Orchestra.

Kim Ryong received early piano education from the age of 5, and from 1993 she received the systematic professional piano education as she entered the elementary class of the preparatory faculty of the Pyongyang Music and Dance University (previous name).
Since 2007 when she finished the 14-year-long systematic education, she’s been working as a professor at the Piano Faculty of Kim Won Gyun University of Music.
In 2014 she was awarded the Master’s Degree in Arts.
For 1 year from September 2014 she received piano training at Gnessin Music Academy in Russia.
During the training, she participated at the 6th International Music Competition “Romantism: Origins and Horizons” which took place in Moscow in June 2015 and was highly appreciated.
She also took part in the April Spring Friendship Art Festival several times.

Ri Kyong Hui learned piano from 5 years old and received systematic professional piano education at Pyongyang Art School from 1991.
From 1998 she specialized in piano at the Instrumental Music Faculty of Pyongyang Music and Dance University (previous name) and finished the postgraduate course of Pyongyang Music and Dance University.
She won the prize at Feb. 16 Art Prize Individual Competition in 2006.
At present she’s working as a professor at the Piano Faculty of Kim Won Gyun University of Music.

Min So Yon

Min So Yon learned piano from 5 years old and received systematic professional piano education at Pyongyang Art School (previous name) from 1999.
In 2009 she entered the Instrumental Music Faculty of Kim Won Gyun University of Music and learned piano for 5 years. She enjoyed the highest appreciation at the graduation concert.
During the university days she often joined the orchestra, chamber and light music ensembles
She won the 1st prize at the Piano Improvisation Competition in May 2010 and at the Piano Duet Competition in September 2012.
In addition, she accompanied on piano the Cyprian singers who took part in the 30th April Spring Friendship Art Festival.
At present she is a professor at the Piano Faculty of Kim Won Gyun University of Music.

Im Kwang Hyok

Occupation: Piano and Accompaniment Professor at the Vocal Faculty of Kim Won Gyun University of Music
Im Kwang Hyok began to receive systematic professional piano education at Wonsan Art School at the age of 7.
In 1999 he was transferred to Pyongyang Music and Dance University (previous name). While learning piano at the university he took the 3rd place at Feb. 16 Art Prize Individual Competition.
After graduating magna cum laude from the university in 2006, he went over to the postgraduate course for continued education. In the postgraduate course he received accompaniment training for vocal music from the invited professor (Italian conductor and accompanist for vocal music) for 1 year.
After finishing the postgraduate course, he became a piano accompanist in Phibada Opera Troupe. Since 2012, he has been working as a piano and accompaniment professor at the Vocal Faculty of Kim Won Gyun University of Music.
While working at the university, he was awarded the Master’s Degree in Arts and arranged several pieces of piano solo and vocal accompaniment on piano.
