Mass rallies were held in South and North Phyongan, South Hwanghae and South Hamgyong provinces on August 11 to hail the statement of the DPRK government categorically rejecting the recent UNSC "sanctions resolution".
Present were officials of local Party, power and economic organs, working people's organizations, industrial establishments, farms and universities and working people and youth and students.
At the rallies, the statement of the DPRK government was read out before speeches by vice-chairmen of the provincial committees of the Workers' Party of Korea and representatives of workers, agricultural workers, intellectuals and youths.
The speakers expressed full support for the statement which totally rejected the UNSC "sanctions resolution" 2371, cooked by the US and its vassal forces, as an illegal criminal document.
The "sanctions resolution" is no more than the last-ditch efforts of those frightened by the might of the DPRK, they said, adding:
The US and other hostile forces have framed up the UNSC "sanctions resolutions" several times so far while faulting every DPRK's exercise of legitimate rights, but neither sanctions nor pressure could frighten it but hardened its faith for independence and increased its spirit of self-development.
