DPRK Proves Successful in 2016 Macao International Marathon

Kim Ji Hyang, a marathon runner of the DPRK, took the first place in the women marathon event of the 2016 Macao International Marathon.

The competition brought together over 40 marathoners and more than 10 000 amateurs from 15 countries and regions including the DPRK, China, Ukraine, Kenya and Ethiopia.

Kim finished first in two hours, 36 minutes and 16 seconds.

The DPRK marathoners returned home on Dec.7 after taking part in the tournament.
