Technological Successes Made in DPRK

The Bioengineering Branch of the State Academy of Sciences in the DPRK has made achievements in the researches into core technologies.

The branch bred new high-yielding salt-resisting seed rice for tideland-turned fields, employed the technology of multiplying dwarf trees and sent millions of rootstocks to fruit farms across the country.

Researchers of the branch also established tissue culture method of sharp persimmon tree for the first time in the country.
