10,000 Tons of Cement Transported to Disaster Areas Every Day

The Chongjin Port and the Chongjin Railway Bureau of the DPRK have transported more than 10,000 tons of cement to the flood-hit North Hamgyong Province every day by raising their cargo and freight traffics 3-4 times.

The Chongjin Port boosted its discharging capacity through a work to raise the bucket capacity of wharf cranes more than 2.5 times and set up open storage grounds.

The Chongjin Railway Bureau conducted a work for hardening the railroad bed and renewing railroad ties to raise the strength of northern railways.
