Taedonggang Beer Popular among DPRK Citizens

The Pyongyang Taedonggang Beer Festival is going on with large attendance in the DPRK, enjoying great popularity.

Kim Song Il, a resident in Mangyongdae District, Pyongyang, told KCNA:

Taedonggang beer is the best. I had been to many countries for scores of years and tasted different beers famous in the world. But no beer can match the Taedonggang beer, I think. I like dark beer containing five percent alcohol.

Kim Yong Nam, an artist of the Korean April 26 Cartoon Film Studio, said that he is not a beer fan but often drinks the Taedonggang beer, adding:

It is my opinion that as the beer is brewed with water of the River Taedong, barley of South Hwanghae Province and hops of Ryanggang Province as its main raw materials, it is very excellent.
