Noble Obligation Shown by DPRK People to Great Leaders

 

On Mansu Hill in the heart of Pyongyang, the capital city of the DPRK, there are statues of President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il.

Seen there are people from all walks of life laying floral baskets and bouquets before the statues of the President and the Chairman to pay high tribute to them.

Many of them have made their sincerity to taking care of the surroundings of the statues for decades, regarding it as their most honourable and noble obligation.

Among them is Han Thaek Sim, an old woman living in Mangyongdae District. She has planted good species of trees on the hill and tended them together with her descendants. In an interview with KCNA, she said:

In their lifetime, the great leaders had worked heart and soul for the country's prosperity and the people's happiness. To glorify their great revolutionary feats through generations and hold them in high esteem forever is the bounden duty I and my family should do.
