National Photo Exhibition Opens to Celebrate Birth Anniversary of Chairman Kim Jong Il

A national photo exhibition "The great guidance steering the campaign for defending socialism to victory" opened to celebrate the 79th birth anniversary of Chairman Kim Jong Il.

Displayed at the exhibition hall are photos showing the immortal feats of Chairman Kim Jong Il who firmly defended the dignity and sovereignty of the country and the nation and provided the firm foundation for the building of a powerful socialist nation and the personality of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un as a great man.

Also displayed there are photos showing the proud reality of the country, where a new era of prosperity is being ushered in under the wise guidance of the Workers' Party of Korea, and the appearance of the people who are fully enjoying their independent and creative life.

An opening ceremony took place at the People's Palace of Culture on Feb. 12.

Present there were Pak Thae Song, secretary of the C.C., the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK), Choe Hui Thae, chairman of the Pyongyang City People's Committee, Kim Pong Sok, secretary of the Pyongyang City Committee of the WPK, officials concerned and working people in the city.
