Efficient Face Equipment Introduced in DPRK

Recently, coal mines in the northern and western areas of the DPRK have improved the working conditions and boosted the production by introducing various kinds of face equipment.

Among those machines is an air rotary drill, which is easier to handle and faster in drilling speed than the existing ones. It can work efficiently in the faces with different beds.

They also applied a new kind of equipment, which can operate a rotary drill, a rotary-percussion drill and a sawing machine alternately with one electric motor and flexible shaft, to coal faces, thus considerably raising the level of mechanization.

The above-said kinds of equipment were developed by the Academy of Coal Mining Science.
