Chonghae Earthen Wall
It is located in Haho-ri, Pukchong County, South Hamgyong Province. Haho-ri is where Namhaebu of Namgyong, the secondary capital of Palhae, was located.
The earthen wall was built on a vast expanse of plain on the left bank of the Pukchong River near the East Sea of Korea. Not far away from it are the Kosan Fort, a cluster of tombs in Phyong-ri, Jolgol remains and a tombstone inscribed with “Palhaegodoji.”
