Japan's Act of Hastening Its Isolation

Japan is working hard to escape from the political and diplomatic isolation in the Korean peninsula and the region.

Recently the Abe regime, whenever an opportunity arises, describes the "Japan-U.S. alliance as an axis for guaranteeing security of Japan".

Lurking behind this is a crafty aim of Japan to shake off the blame of a war criminal state with the backing of the U.S. as it is caught by uneasiness that if even the relations with the U.S. go wrong, it might be driven into a piteous plight.

The Japanese reactionaries' reckless moves can never be overlooked as they are dangerous war hysterics going against the trend of the times toward reconciliation, cooperation and peace and an unethical crime to openly evade the past liquidation.

This will, however, only hasten Japan's isolation.

But it is Japan itself which is to blame for its diplomatic isolation today.

It is because Japan does nothing but evil deeds going against the trend of the times while refusing the liquidation of the past crimes with its face turned away from the unanimous will of the international community.

Of all choices, a prerequisite for Japan to escape from the fate of isolation is the sincere liquidation of the past.

Japan should clearly understand the fact that it can never escape from international isolation without a thorough reflection on and apology and reparation for the hideous crimes it committed in the past.
