Everyone Should Bring About Radical Turn in National Reunification

Three rounds of north-south summit meetings and talks took place and the Panmunjom Declaration and the September Pyongyang Joint Declaration and the north-south agreement in the military field were adopted last year.

All Koreans in the north, the south and abroad should bring about a radical turn in the movement for national reunification this year on a basis of such successes.

Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un in his New Year Address set forth the slogan "Let us usher in a heyday of peace, prosperity and reunification of the Korean peninsula by thoroughly implementing the historic north-south declarations!"

The whole compatriots should turn out as one in the struggle for the development of the north-south relations, peace and prosperity and national reunification, holding high the slogan.

It is necessary to eradicate military hostility between the north and the south and make the Korean Peninsula a durable and lasting peace zone.

Inter-Korean cooperation and exchanges should be expanded and developed in an all-round way so that national reconciliation and unity can be consolidated and all the fellow countrymen can practically benefit from improved north-south relations.

All the Koreans in the north, the south and abroad should join and unite on the principle of subordinating everything to national reunification, the cause common to the nation, beyond the differences among ideologies, systems, regions, ideals, classes and strata and accelerate the movement for reunification in a nationwide scale.

Koreans should never tolerate the interference and intervention of outside forces that stand in the way of national reconciliation, unity and reunification with the design to subordinate inter-Korean relations to their tastes and interests.

All the fellow countrymen, bearing in mind that the dignity and prosperity of the nation depends on them, should conduct the dynamic movement for national reunification true to the patriotic appeal made by the peerlessly great man.
