Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un's New Year Address Supported in Russia

Russian organizations released statements to support Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un's New Year Address on January 3 and 4.

The Regional Social Organization of Russia "Borozino" in its statement noted Kim Jong Un, supreme leader of the Korean people, in his New Year Address said that the year 2018 was a historic year, in which remarkable changes took place in the internal and external situations and the socialist construction entered a new stage thanks to the line of independence and strategic decision of the Workers' Party of Korea.

He set forth the slogan "Let us open a new road of advance for socialist construction under the uplifted banner of self-reliance!" and underscored the need to bring about a revolutionary upsurge on all fronts of socialist construction by regarding self-reliance as a treasured sword for prosperity, the statement said, and expressed full support to the New Year Address.

The Russian Association for Friendship and Cultural Cooperation with the DPRK in its statement said that the association received Kim Jong Un's New Year Address with deep interest.

Last year a peaceful atmosphere was provided on the Korean peninsula and the international prestige of the DPRK remarkably enhanced by the positive efforts of the DPRK leadership, the statement said.

It stressed that the Korean people are confidently advancing along the road of socialism despite the persistent sanctions and pressure by the imperialists, defending the sovereignty of the country under the wise leadership of Kim Jong Un.

The statement wished the friendly Korean people peace and prosperity.
