Kim Jong Un Gives Grand Banquet for Chinese Art Troupe

Pyongyang, April 15 (KCNA) -- Kim Jong Un, chairman of the Workers' Party of Korea and chairman of the State Affairs Commission of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, gave a grand banquet Saturday evening in welcome of the DPRK visit by the Chinese art troupe headed by Song Tao, head of the International Liaison Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China.

Present there were Choe Ryong Hae, member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the WPK, vice-chairman of the State Affairs Commission of the DPRK and vice-chairman of the C.C., WPK, Ri Su Yong and Kim Yong Chol, members of the Political Bureau and vice-chairmen of the C.C., WPK, Kim Yo Jong, alternate member of the Political Bureau and first vice department director of the C.C., WPK, Jo Yong Won, Kwon Hyok Bong, Kim Pyong Ho, Hong Kwang Sun, Kim Song Nam, Ri Chang Gun and Ryu Myong Son, vice department directors of the C.C., WPK, Pak Chun Nam, minister of Culture, and other officials of the C.C., WPK and those concerned.

Present there on invitation were Song Tao, head of the International Liaison Department of the C.C., CPC, all the members of the Chinese art troupe, Li Jinjun, Chinese ambassador to the DPRK, and officials of the Chinese embassy here.

When the respected Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un and his wife Ri Sol Ju appeared at the banquet hall together with Song Tao and other Chinese guests, all the participants enthusiastically welcomed them with loud applause.

Kim Jong Un warmly welcomed the Chinese art troupe's visit to the DPRK.

First, a performance was given by the Korean artistes including those of the Samjiyon Orchestra in welcome of the Chinese art troupe at the banquet.

Then, toasts were made by Choe Ryong Hae and Song Tao.

The speakers expressed the steadfast will of the two parties and two peoples to more beautifully decorate the flower garden of the DPRK-China friendship and fully demonstrate the invincible friendship and unity at home and abroad and further develop them, which have been brought by the supreme leaders of the two parties and two countries.

The banquet proceeded in a friendly and amicable atmosphere.
