Torchlight Gala of Young Vanguard Held

 

A torchlight gala of the young vanguard titled “Forward, Patriotic Young People, for Our Great State!” took place at Kim Il Sung Square on the night of September 8 to celebrate the 75th birthday of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea.

The platform was taken by Kim Tok Hun, Jo Yong Won, Choe Ryong Hae and Ri Pyong Chol, members of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea, and other senior Party, government and military officials, chief secretaries of the provincial Party committees and the chairman of the central committee of the youth league.

Veteran cadres who had worked for a long time in the Party, the government and the military and the participants in the celebrations of the DPRK’s 75th birthday were present at the special seats.

Invited to it were members of the Chinese party and government delegation and the Russian Army Academic Song and Dance Ensemble Named after Alexandrov on a visit to the DPRK to take part in the celebrations of the DPRK’s 75th birthday and diplomatic representatives of the Chinese and Russian embassies in Pyongyang.

Amid the playing of the song “Youth and Courage”, the columns of torchlight entered the square.

When the start of the torchlight gala was declared, the letters “1948-2023”, “Eternal Leader” and “The Sun’s Korea”, figures of the DPRK flag and the sun were displayed one after another with torchlight formation amid the playing of the song “The Glorious Motherland”.

The august names of the great leaders were displayed at the gala venue to give vent to the ardent reverence of all the people for President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il, founder and builder of socialist Korea and pioneer and leader of the Juche-oriented youth movement.

The square was filled with torchlight columns bearing the letters “Peerless Hero” amid the playing of the solemn melody of the revolutionary hymn “Ode to General Kim Jong Un”.

A torchlight column marched past the square with redoubled courage and confidence, depicting letters "Overall development" to the dynamic tune of the "Song of Socialist Advance".

The impressive letter “Do Prosper, My Motherland!” significantly crowned the gala amid the resounding of the song of loyalty “We’ll Travel One Road Forever”.

Circle dance of celebration began amid the overflowing enthusiasm of youth.

When the torchlight gala was over, fireworks were let off in the sky of September to present wonderful mystery one after another.
