Ceremony of Presenting Sonyon Multiple Rocket Systems Held

Schoolchildren across the country prepared Sonyon (children's) multiple rocket systems by vigorously conducting do-good-things movements in the run-up to the 77th founding anniversary of the Korean Children’s Union.

A presentation ceremony of Sonyon multiple rocket systems was held in front of the Mangyongdae Schoolchildren’s Palace on June 6.

It was attended by Kim Su Gil, chief secretary of the Pyongyang Municipal Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea, Ri Tu Song, department director of the WPK Central Committee, youth league officials, service personnel of the Korean People’s Army, participants in the letter relay of loyalty by KCU members across the country and other schoolchildren.

Mun Chol, chairman of the Central Committee of the Socialist Patriotic Youth League, delivered a presentation address.

He said it was a precious tradition of the KCU with the proud history spanning over 70 years to send Sonyon military hardware to the posts of national defence.

He called on all schoolchildren to prepare themselves into talents who are knowledgeable, morally impeccable and physically strong.

A presentation document was conveyed to an officer of the KPA.

Speeches were made.

After the ceremony, Sonyon multiple rocket systems left for KPA units amid the enthusiastic send-off of schoolchildren.
