Rodong Sinmun on Unchangeable Path of DPRK

Independence in politics, self-support in the economy and self-reliance in national defence are the eternal banner of our Party, our country and our people, says Rodong Sinmun Wednesday in an article.

President Kim Il Sung was the prominent leader who built the first invincible state entity based on the cornerstone of independence in politics, self-support in the economy and self-reliance in national defence, the article says, and goes on:

The President dealt resolute blows to the high-handed practices of outsiders and the frontal challenges by those steeped in sycophancy toward big powers in order to establish Juche in the revolution and construction. He made this bold decision in reliance on the strength of people and it was recorded as a great event in the history of the Korean nation.

Chairman Kim Jong Il was a peerlessly great man who remarkably increased the might of our state dignified with independence in politics, self-support in the economy and self-reliance in national defence.

He put forward the slogan of living our own way and saw to it that everything was solved by our own efforts in conformity with the interests of our revolution and our people while frustrating all the pressure moves of the imperialists and modern social democrats.

It is his immutable theory that the independent dignity and interests of the state and people and happiness of posterity are guaranteed by strong power.

The great cause of independence in politics, self-support in the economy and self-reliance in national defence is shining as the cause of another great man that can be maintained and accomplished only by the prominent thinker and theoretician, peerless statesman and iron-willed brilliant commander.

It is the greatest exploit performed by the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un for the nation that he rapidly developed Juche Korea into a world power with invincible strength, realizing the long cherished desire of the Korean people.

Led by Kim Jong Un, the banner of independence in politics, self-support in the economy and self-reliance in national defence will fly higher, and our generation, who are creating a series of miracles and changes to be specially recorded in the history of the nation under the leadership of the Party Central Committee, will be recorded in the history of the country as the most courageous and powerful generation realizing the far-reaching ideal and ambition by their own efforts.
