New Technologies for Environment Protection Are Introduced

The Environmental Science and Technology Institute under the Ministry of Land and Environment Protection is vigorously promoting the work to develop and introduce new technologies conducive to protecting the environment of the country.

It established the indexes and methods of investigating and observing the types of ecosystems so as to survey and estimate the overall ecological environment of the country and updated the criteria for environmental conservation, thus making a firm guarantee for preventing negative influence on the ecological environment.

It ensures the scientific accuracy of ecological environment conservation by developing a nationwide information system to make real-time monitoring of ecological environment of the country and take relevant measures and by making use of automatic sulfurous acid gas measuring instrument and other equipment for environmental observation and measurement.

It intensified the scientific research to introduce advanced technologies of environmental conservation into preventing air and water contamination, with the result that the work to establish efficient gas purification facilities and industrial waste water purification lines in the factories and enterprises across the country was carried out successfully.

It developed an agglutinant for water purification with fly ash from a thermal power station and a technology of producing quality bricks with ore residues of mines as a raw material.

Now, it makes efforts to prevent environmental pollution and recycle waste materials.
