18th Plenary Meeting of 14th Standing Committee of DPRK SPA Held

The 18th Plenary Meeting of the 14th Standing Committee of the Supreme People’s Assembly of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea was held at the Mansudae Assembly Hall on December 14.

Choe Ryong Hae, member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea, first vice-president of the State Affairs Commission of the DPRK and chairman of the SPA Standing Committee, presided over the plenary meeting.

It was attended by Kang Yun Sok and Pak Yong Il, vice-chairmen of the SPA Standing Committee, its Secretary General Ko Gil Son and members of the SPA Standing Committee.

Present there as observers were officials concerned of the SPA Standing Committee, the Secretariat of the Cabinet, ministries, and national agencies.

Placed on the agenda items were the issues on the convention of a session of the DPRK SPA and on the adoption of the laws on the offshore and river transport and building design and property execution.

First, a decision of the SPA Standing Committee on convening the 6th Session of the 14th SPA of the DPRK was adopted with the unanimous approval.

Then, a report was made on the gists of the above-said laws.

After the study and deliberation on the above-said draft laws, the plenary meeting adopted the law of the DPRK on the offshore and river transport, the law of the DPRK on building design and the law of the DPRK on property execution as the decrees of the SPA Standing Committee.
