Perilla Leave with Good Antibiotic and Anticancer Effect
From olden times, the Korean people have used perilla leave in their diet.
Tonguibogam, one of three books on traditional medicine of Korea, reads in part: Perilla warms up the body, neutralizes poison, recovers energy, relieves coughing and thirst and protects the internal organs.
According to data available, perilla leave contains bioactive components and a strong antioxide material which inhibit the proliferation of cancer cells and DNA synthesis of cancer cells in the body.
It also contains a lot of iron, calcium and magnesium components, various vitamins, vegetable nutrients and flavonoid effective for retarding the aging, which revive cells, arrest bleeding and irrigate blood vessels.
It is also used as a mould inhibitor for its peculiar fragrance.
