Kimchi-making Season Begins in DPRK

 

In the DPRK, every family makes Kimchi (pickled vegetables), one of national foods, in this season every year.

The Kimchi-making season serves as an occasion for promoting harmony among neighbors and stimulating silent emulation for making tasty Kimchi.

This year, too, every family begins making Kimchi in this season.

Along with the long history of the Korean nation, dietary habits of making Kimchi were created and have been carried forward through generations.

The Kimchi-making season is the one peculiar to Koreans only and Kimchi-making is one of national customs to be handed down to posterity.
