Red Cross Society Law of DPRK Revised

The Red Cross Society Law of the DPRK, enacted in January Juche 96 (2007), was recently amended and supplemented.

Articles 4 (Member Qualifications), 10 (Cooperation in Emergency Relief Activity), 15 (Guarantee of Priority to Emergency Relief Activity) and 21 (Administrative Responsibility) of the law were newly supplemented.

And some contents of Article 3 (Action Principle of Red Cross Society) were revised. Among them is the content that the Red Cross Society applies the people-first principle in its work.

The law has contributed to protecting the people's life and property from various diseases and disasters and promoting their health and wellbeing through strict establishment of the system and order in the Red Cross work.
