Road of Young Koreans
Today, the young people of the DPRK are giving full play to their mettle and valour in difficult and labour-consuming sectors of building a powerful socialist country.
Among them are triplet sisters who volunteered to work in Samjiyon City, Ryanggang Province located in the northern highland of Korea.
During his visit to Samjiyon in April last year, Supreme Leader
True to the WPK’s policy of prioritizing education, Kim Yong Sim, after graduating from Pyongyang Teachers Training College, volunteered to work at a branch school in a far-flung island with a determination to devote her wisdom and enthusiasm to the education of the rising generations. Following her example, over 400 graduates from universities of education and teachers training colleges volunteered to work at schools in islands, frontline areas and mountainous villages.
In hearty response to the WPK’s policy that called on all people to turn out in the forest restoration campaign, Rim Hyon Ho, who served in the urban management sector of the capital city, volunteered to work at the forestry management station in Sonchon County, North Phyongan Province. Hong Il Sim, too, left the capital city of Pyongyang with a determination to devote her sweat of prime youth at the Songnam Youth Coal Mine under the Pukchang Area Youth Coal Mining Complex. Thirty-nine graduates from Chongjin University of Agriculture volunteered to work at the newly-built Jungphyong Vegetable Greenhouse Farm and Tree Nursery in North Hamgyong Province, demonstrating once again the true images of young Koreans.
Their jobs will be not all plain sailing.
But, they go cheerfully the thorny path they have chosen, with the steadfast faith that the road indicated by the WPK leads them to a sure victory and that it is the one and only road they should follow to defend their country and socialism.
