Conference of Mallima Frontrunners
to Be Convened

The Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea on January 25 issued a press release on convening a historic conference of Mallima frontrunners late this year in order to spur the building of a powerful socialist country and promote the Mallima era powerfully. The press release said:

Today the Korean army and people are making world-startling innovations for great leap forward in the all-people, general offensive which is aimed at achieving greater victories and turning a heyday of the revolution into a great golden age in the indomitable attacking spirit that gave birth to a new Mallima era in 2016, the year of creation.

Our Party has put forward the spirit of Kangwon Province as an exemplary spirit of the times in the historic struggle for accelerating the victorious advance of socialism with the great spirit of self-reliance and self-development as the dynamic force, and called on all the people of the country to learn the spirit.

The spirit of Kangwon Province is a new spirit of the times epitomizing the indomitable fighting will and heroic spirit of the Korean revolutionaries, who hasten the bright future by their own efforts, full of confidence in victory and optimism in the face of trying ordeals, in order to fulfil the patriotic wish of the great leader Kim Jong Il for a powerful country at any cost.

The WPK Central Committee has decided to convene the conference of Mallima frontrunners in Pyongyang, the capital of the revolution, late this year in order to further heighten the extraordinary revolutionary enthusiasm and soaring fighting spirit of our people, who are creating the hero legend of self-reliance and self-development on all fronts of the building of a powerful socialist country in the spirit of Kangwon Province.

The conference will be attended by the Mallima riders who will have made phenomenal successes and performed distinguished feats at the forefront of the general offensive, the general do-or-die campaign, which is aimed at scaling a new peak in the building of a sci-tech power, economic giant and civilized power and building up the might of the political and military power a thousandfold. They will exchange precious experiences gained in the campaign to create the Mallima speed and discuss practical issues for making greater leaps forward.

New model units rushing forward like the wind on Mallima will be born and innumerable heroes of legend eliciting pride of all will be produced in the raging crucible of the continued innovation, continued advance and continued offensive that are made without resting on the laurels won in the historic 70-day and 200-day campaigns.

The inexhaustible strength of Juche Korea will increase further as there is the large contingent of Mallima riders who are dashing along the straight course to victory like storm and wave without a moment’s halt as they courageously frustrate all challenges and obstructionist manoeuvres of the imperialists by holding aloft the banner of self-reliance and self-development under the leadership of the Party.

The conference, which will be held amid great interest and high degree of revolutionary enthusiasm of the people throughout the country, will be etched in the history of the country as a historic meeting that puts spurs to the building of a powerful socialist country and dynamically promotes the Mallima era like the national meeting of vanguards of the Chollima workteam movement that stirred up the legendary Chollima era half a century ago.

The WPK Central Committee hopes that Kim Il Sung’s and Kim Jong Il’s heroic working class, agricultural workers, scientists, technicians and all other Party members, working people and young men and women will fully display the spirit of Kangwon Province at their revolutionary posts so as to bring about a watershed in the building of a powerful socialist country and add lustre to the conference of Mallima frontrunners by making dazzling labour achievements uninterruptedly in this significant year.
