Kumsusan Palace of the Sun

On December 17 servicepersons and other people from all walks of life visited the Kumsusan Palace of the Sun to pay high tribute to Chairman Kim Jong Il on the occasion of his fifth demise anniversary.

Seen in the hall where stand the statues of President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il were a floral basket in the name of Kim Jong Un, Chairman of the Workers' Party of Korea, Chairman of the DPRK State Affairs Commission and Supreme Commander of the Korean People's Army, and floral baskets in the joint name of the Central Committee and the Central Military Commission of the WPK, the DPRK State Affairs Commission, the Presidium of the Supreme People's Assembly and the Cabinet of the DPRK.

The visitors paid high tribute to the statues of the great leaders.

Then they entered the hall where Kim Jong Il lies in state and paid homage to him.

They proceeded to look round the halls where orders, medals and other honorary titles the Korean people and other world progressives conferred on him out of boundless reverence, and the car, coach, vessel and battery car he used during his trip at home and abroad are exhibited.

Meanwhile, the servicepersons and other youth and working people from different social strata in different parts of the country visited the statues and portraits of the smiling great leaders in the local areas to pay floral tributes to them.
