Protest Staged outside US Embassy in S. Korea

The "body of citizens for equal south Korea-US relations", grouping inhabitants from all walks of life in south Korea, reportedly held a protest rally outside the US embassy in Seoul on December 13.

The speakers at the rally accused the US of pressing on with THAAD deployment despite the "National Assembly's" passage of a motion calling for the impeachment of Park Geun Hye.

They demanded that the US cancel at once its plan for THAAD deployment harmful to peace on the Korean peninsula as urged by the south Korean people in candlelight action.

They also urged the US to solve the issue of the peninsula through the resumption of the DPRK-US dialogue, not sanctions and pressure.
