Ballistic Rocket Firing Drill Inspected

Kim Jong Un, Chairman of the Workers’ Party of Korea, Chairman of the DPRK State Affairs Commission and Supreme Commander of the Korean People’s Army, oversaw a ballistic rocket firing drill by Hwasong artillery units of the KPA Strategic Force.

He was accompanied by Ri Man Gon, Ri Pyong Chol, Kim Jong Sik and other senior officials of the WPK Central Committee, as well as officials in the defence science sector.

The drill was aimed at re-examining the flight safety, guided accuracy rate and other reliability aspects of the upgraded ballistic rockets that have been put in place, and at assessing and inspecting the combat capability of the Hwasong artillery units.

He arrived at the venue and inquired about details of the drill plan and the tactical and technical specifications of the updated rockets before giving an order to the Strategic Force commander to start the drill.

By order of General Kim Rak Gyom, rockets blasted off in a row with thunderous explosions, soaring up into sky.

In the drill, the Hwasong artillery units’ rocket-launching capacity and the combat efficiency of the ballistic rockets proved to be perfect.

Kim Jong Un was greatly satisfied with the flawless, successful drill, and extended warm congratulations to the artillerymen involved in the drill.

He specified important tasks to be tackled in building up the military deterrent at a higher level by boosting the Juche-oriented nuclear arms.
