Visit to Kumsusan Palace of the Sun

Kim Jong Un, First Secretary of the Workers’ Party of Korea, First Chairman of the National Defence Commission of the DPRK and Supreme Commander of the Korean People’s Army, together with senior officials of the WPK and the KPA, visited the Kumsusan Palace of the Sun at 00:00 on January 1, 2016 to pay high tribute to President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il on the occasion of the New Year.

He  in  company  with the  participants  entered  the  hall  where  stand  statues  of  Kim  Il  Sung  and Kim Jong Il.

The head of the guards of honour of the KPA Ground, Navy, Air and Anti-Aircraft Force and the Worker-Peasant Red Guards made a salute towards the statues.

A floral basket in the name of Kim Jong Un was placed before the statues.

Also laid there were floral baskets in the name of the Central Committee and the Central Military Commission of the WPK and the DPRK NDC.

He together with the accompanying officials paid tribute to the statues.

Then he entered the hall of immortality where Kim Il Sung lies in state.

He together with the participants made New Year greetings to Kim Il Sung in the humblest reverence.

Then he entered the hall of immortality where Kim Jong Il lies in state.
