Visit to Kim Yang Gon’s Bier

Kim Jong Un, First Secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea, First Chairman of the DPRK National Defence Commission and Supreme Commander of the KPA, visited on December 30 the bier of Kim Yang Gon, member of the Political Bureau of the WPK Central Committee, deputy to the DPRK Supreme People’s Assembly and secretary of the WPK Central Committee and expressed deep sorrow over his death.

Seen before the bier was a wreath from Kim Jong Un.

The bereaved family members were standing beside the bier.

The bier was flanked by KPA guards of honour.

Kim Jong Un observed a moment’s silence in memory of the revolutionary soldier faithful to the Party who had grown up as a true revolutionary and skilful political activist under the unusual trust and care of President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il and worked devotedly for the prosperity of the socialist country and for the implementation of the Party’s policies of national reunification and foreign affairs.

The supreme leader looked round the bier, overwhelmed by grief for the loss of his beloved comrade who had devoted his wisdom and enthusiasm to the last moment of his life to carrying out the lifetime instructions of the great leaders on the country’s reunification in support of the Party’s monolithic leadership, cherishing the revolutionary faith that would last forever in conformity to the requirements of the momentous historic period in implementing the Juche revolutionary cause.

He stressed that the Party and the country would forever remember the brilliant life of the deceased who had remained boundlessly loyal to the Party and the revolution with a firm faith to the validity of the cause of Juche.

He met the bereaved family members and expressed his condolences, while consoling and encouraging them.
