Kim Jong Un, First Secretary of the Workers’ Party of Korea, First Chairman of the National Defence Commission of the DPRK and Supreme Commander of the Korean People’s Army visited the Kumsusan Palace of the Sun at 00:00 on December 17, the greatest national memorial day, on the occasion of the fourth anniversary of demise of Chairman Kim Jong Il.
He was accompanied by commanding officers of the KPA.
He entered the hall where stand the statues of President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il.
The statues were flanked by flags of the Party and the DPRK and the guards of honour of the Ground, Navy, Anti-Aircraft Force of the Korean People’s Army and the Worker-Peasant Red Guards.
The head of the guards of honour made a salute towards the statues.
A floral basket in the name of Kim Jong Un was placed before the statues.
Also laid was a floral basket in the name of the KPA.
Kim Jong Un, together with the accompanying officials, paid high tribute to the statues.
He entered the hall of immortality where Kim Jong Il is preserved in his lifetime appearance.
He, together with the participants, paid homage and made deep bow to Kim Jong Il.
They went round the hall where the orders, medals and honorary titles conferred on Kim Jong Il are exhibited, the hall of lamentation and the halls that house the car, battery car, vessel and coach he had used in his lifetime.
