Visit to May 9 Catfish Farm

Enjoying an overall view of the farm, he said that he visited it again in a year and found it completely face-lifted, expressing his delight over the birth of another paradigm, another standard farm, that deserves to boast of.

He made the rounds of a new mosaic in the compound, which depicts Chairman Kim Jong Il, and praised the factory for having built it in a bright and courteous manner. He said that the officials and other employees of the farm should overfulfill their own production quotas, thinking that they were informing the Chairman standing by a fishing pond with a broad smile of their daily production result.

The supreme leader saw the monument to the field guidance of the peerlessly great persons and then headed for the newly built rooms dedicated to education in revolutionary relics.

Noting that May 9 Catfish Farm is the first catfish breeder of the country established under the deep care and guidance of the Chairman, he called the Chairman a pioneer of the country’s catfish raising.

He looked round different places of the farm including the general control room, sci-tech diffusion room, spawning ground, indoor ponds, filtering yard and fodder storage room to inquire about its production and modernization.

Saying that the experiences of the farm show that to make a signal success in fish breeding it is necessary to push forward the efforts to put the production on a scientific, intensive and industrial basis focusing on science and technology, he stressed that all units in the fish raising sector should learn after the experiences of the farm.

He also spoke highly of the officials, employees, scientists and technicians of the farm and soldier builders performed feats of labour in splendidly transforming the factory into a proud creation of the era of the Workers’ Party.

Noting that the Party expects a great deal from the farm, he expressed his expectation and conviction that the officials and other employees would perform fresh miracles in production with a determination to greet the 7th Congress of the WPK with a high political enthusiasm and unprecented labour achievements.
