Officials of the relevant sector and the tree nursery and its employees have made great achievements in further consolidating the material and technical foundations of the tree nursery as they constructed a new outdoor cultivation ground and PVC sheet greenhouses, acclimatized good tree species and increased the production of tree saplings of high economic and ornamental value after the supreme leader visited it in May.
Making the rounds of seedlings greenhouse, circular cutting bed, outdoor cultivation ground, PVC sheet greenhouse cultivation ground and other places, the Supreme Commander learned about the management and operation of the nursery and gave instructions on how to push the reforestation drive more dynamically.

As the campaign for restoring forests is a patriotic undertaking for the everlasting prosperity of the country and a long-term affair that foresees the future at least 10 years ahead, we should never get dispirited even if we fail to make noticeable achievements after planting trees for one or two years, he said. Though it is hard forces today, we should plant and grow trees with utmost care, looking forward to the future of the country to be covered with green forests, he added.
Saying tree nurseries should be updated on a high level in order to make success in the campaign for forest restoration, he called for developing Tree Nursery 122 into a world-standard one where tree seedling production will be put on a scientific, industrial and intensive basis and automated and mechanized on a high level.

The nursery should be turned into a land-saving and labour-saving one which is capable of producing tens of millions of tree saplings a year with a small production area and manpower by making all seedling production processes up-to-date, he noted.
The KPA should also become a standard-bearer in the campaign to modernize the tree nursery in line with the requirements of the knowledge economy age, he stated, calling on it to make full preparations and push forward with the project, in a three-dimensional way thus turning it the nursery into the one that deserves to be praised throughout the world as a gift to the WPK’s Seventh Congress.
