Visit to Wonsan Leather Shoes Factory

Kim Jong Un, First Secretary of the Workers’ Party of Korea, First Chairman of the DPRK National Defence Commission and Supreme Commander of the Korean People’s Army, inspected the Wonsan Leather Shoes Factory.

He looked round the room dedicated to the history of the factory and the newly arranged room of education in the revolutionary activities of the national leaders.

He then made the rounds of the designing room, injection-moulding workteam, uppers and shoemaking workshops and various other places of the factory to inquire about details of production and quality of its products.

He was greatly pleased to visit the factory which is making continuous advance and innovations, he said, adding that it was the lifetime wish of Chairman Kim Jong Il to run at full capacity the factories engaged in improvement of the people’s living standards so that people could benefit from it.

Expressing his expectation and conviction that the factory would creditably perform its role as a base for promoting the development of the footwear industry of the country, the supreme leader showed benevolent affection for the employees.

Noting that the WPK demands that everything to be provided to the people be at the highest level in the world, he called on all fields and all institutions to strive hard to produce high-quality goods that prove competitive on the world market with great courage and self-confidence that the word “impossible” is not to be found in the Korean vocabulary.
