The fishery station set a record by netting an amount as much as the past annual output in a day alone during this winter intensive fishing campaign, he said, describing it as a laudable achievement.
He appreciated the efforts of the fishermen and their wives, seeing the fishes which packed every landing place, fish processing ground and cold storage chamber.




The fishery station has applied cutting-edge technology to establish complete systems for weather forecast, maritime command, fish processing, monitoring of equipment and electricity and ship repair, and has set up latest super-freezing and cold storage facilities with a capacity of thousands of tons, he said.
The officials and fishermen of the other fishery stations can catch good hauls if they make efforts with an intention to contribute to improving the people’s living standards by catching more fish and with an extraordinary level of consciousness that their posts are part of the frontline for defending socialism, he stressed.
Thanks to the fishermen who accept the Party policies wholeheartedly and carry them out at the risk of their lives, he noted, another conspicuous scene of the Songun era has been unfolded in the fishery sector.
