Visit to Renovated Children's Foodstuff Factory

Kim Jong Un, First Secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea, First Chairman of the National Defence Commission of the DPRK and Supreme Commander of the Korean People's Army, toured the Pyongyang Children's Foodstuff Factory which has been splendidly modernized as intended by the Party.

Feasting his eyes on the factory, he asked himself with a smile if it is the factory visited by him last year, and called it a smart factory that has been completely transformed as appropriate for a workplace associated with the Party’s leadership exploits and a testifier of the fact that when Korea is determined, it can do anything.

He made the rounds of a mosaic, which depicts President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il examining children’s foodstuffs, and the monument to the field guidance by the peerlessly great men of Mt Paektu newly erected in the compound, as well as the rebuilt rooms dedicated to education in the great leaders’ revolutionary activities and the factory’s history.

He dropped in at various places of the factory to inquire about modernization, production and variety and quality of products.

What pleased him before anything else in the modernization of the factory is that all its production lines are equipped with latest facilities designed and manufactured by our scientists and technicians, he said, stressing once again that localization constitutes the core of the Party’s policy of modernization.

Noting that he wants to carry on his shoulder those who devote themselves to localization holding fast to the attitude of doing everything on our own efforts and technology and in our own style without fail, he spoke highly of the officials, scientists, technicians and workers who took active part in the effort to modernize the factory and thanked them in the name of the WPK.

We are making a revolution braving trials for the sake of children, the future of our country, and their laughter, went on, makes us optimistic of a bright and promising future, although we are now in difficulties.

He expressed his expectation and conviction that the officials and other employees of the factory would produce in larger quantity soybean milk and other tasty and nutritive foodstuffs to be supplied to children, keeping in mind that normal production guarantees their happiness.
