A New Model of Underground Train Examined

Kim Jong Un, First Secretary of the Workers’ Party of Korea, First Chairman of the DPRK National Defence Commission and Supreme Commander of the Korean People’s Army, visited the Kim Jong Thae Electric Locomotive Complex and examined a new model of the underground train manufactured by the complex.

Kim Jong Un inquired about the form and colour, technical specifications and quality of fittings of the new model train in detail.

Feasting his eyes with great pleasure on the train manufactured by the Korean scientists, technicians and workers, he said that although it was not easy to develop an excellent model train of the Korean style, it could be produced within a short period thanks to the enormous potential of the Juche-based industry provided by the lifelong devotions of the great leaders and the fervent loyalty of the heroic workers, scientists and technicians towards the Party and revolution, the country and people, and their indomitable spiritual strength.

Saying that the complex which is as old as the Workers’ Party has exalted brilliance of this October by building the new train on the occasion of the 70th founding anniversary of the WPK, he expressed thanks in the name of the WPK to the officials, scientists, technicians and workers at the complex and relevant organs who performed great feats of labour for the Party and people.

Kim Jong Un expressed expectation and conviction that the Party members and other working people at the complex will fulfil their honourable mission in the production of rolling stock like locomotives, passenger coaches and underground trains by giving a full play to their revolutionary spirit of self-reliance in the future.
