Visit to Mirae Scientists Street

Kim Jong Un, First Secretary of the Workers’ Party of Korea, First Chairman of the DPRK National Defence Commission and Supreme Commander of the Korean People’s Army, inspected the Mirae Scientists Street which has been completed as a prototype of the Juche-oriented architecture and a beautiful sight in the era of the Workers’ Party.

Feasting his eyes on the street, he said with great satisfaction that it is graceful and grandiose at every sight, adding that it explains in an intuitive way the WPK’s idea of giving importance to science and talented persons and calling it a splendid street with a full combination of the Juche character, national identity, uniqueness and artistic and a Korean-style street built in the capital city of Pyongyang in the era when the efflorescence of civilization is being brought into fuller bloom.

Touring several places of the street, he learned in detail about their construction.

Noting that the construction of the flats is excellent in quality, he was very pleased to say that teachers and researchers would move to the new flats only with their luggage, as living rooms, parents’ rooms, rooms for married couple and children, kitchens and others are adequately furnished with quality furniture and other fittings.

He also said that resting places and sports parks have been laid out distinctively for residents to relax themselves and do exercises to their heart’s content and that the afforestation in the residential quarters and the bank improvement along the Taedong River have been successfully carried out.

Having a bird’s eye view of the street time and again, he continued in delight that Pyongyang, the capital city of revolution and the centre of civilization in his country, has undergone a cataclysmic change with the creation of a smart street to boast of in the world.

Recalling that 521st Division of the KPA was organized for the construction project of the street, he spoke highly of the soldier builders, saying that they have fully demonstrated the militant stamina of the KPA by performing the hugest tasks including high-rise apartment buildings in the offensive spirit of “At a go” as the standard-bearers and exemplary members in the struggle to implement the Party’s ideas and safeguard its policies.

He, in the name of the WPK, gave thanks to KPA units, relevant sectors, builders and those who rendered material assistance to the project.

He then gave instructions related to opening the street.
