Performance by Chongbong Band Enjoyed

Kim Jong Un, First Secretary of the Workers’ Party of Korea, First Chairman of the DPRK National Defence Commission and Supreme Commander of the Korean People’s Army, enjoyed a performance given by the Chongbong Band in celebration of the 70th founding anniversary of the WPK.

Kim Jong Un, together with Ri Sol Ju, appeared at the auditorium.

All the performers and audience greeted him with thunderous applause, extending the greatest honour and warmest thanks to him who is ushering in a new era of civilization in the 21st century on their prospering country.

The performers unfolded a splendid stage by representing in a unique and fresh manner the songs in praise of the Party which enjoys the prestige as the party of Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il.

They gave a moving depiction of the era of the glorious Workers’ Party when all dreams and ideals of the people are realized in the embrace of the Party which was founded and led by the great leaders.

They also demonstrated the strong faith of the service personnel and people who are determined to hold up Kim Jong Un who is accomplishing the great cause of Paektu, holding aloft the banner of the great Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism, as the saviour of their destiny and the sun of their life, and faithfully support the Party which makes selfless, devoted efforts for the good of the people.

The supreme leader congratulated the creative workers and artistes of the band who glorify through their practical artistic activities the name of their band pervaded with the pure soul of Mt Paektu as a bugle and ideological standard-bearer of the revolution as intended by the Party Centre, and make a tangible contribution to the development of the Juche-oriented art and literature.

He expressed his expectation and conviction that they will, in the future, too, creditably perform their honourable mission and duty in infusing all the service personnel and people with enthusiasm for the revolution and struggle.
