KPA Unit 350 Inspected

Kim Jong Un, First Secretary of the Workers’ Party of Korea, First Chairman of the DPRK National Defence Commission and Supreme Commander of the Korean People’s Army, inspected KPA Unit 350.

Kim Jong Un went round the monument to the field guidance of Chairman Kim Jong Il, the room for education in revolutionary history and the room devoted to the history of the unit.

Looking at the materials on display with deep attention, he recalled that the unit has traversed the proud road of strengthening it under the care of the Chairman.

The Supreme Commander called in at the rooms for operations study, military lecture and general training to get familiar with the combat duty and training of the unit.

He said that the commanding officers and other service personnel of the unit have performed praiseworthy feats in this year’s training with a mere determination to glorify the 70th founding anniversary of the Party with signal success in their combat and military training.

He also stated that the unit has built the rooms so that the service personnel can study and be accustomed to various operational and combat plans and fighting methods to cope with modern warfare, as required by the Juche-oriented military idea and war tactics of the Party.

Referring to the importance of the unit’s duty, Kim Jong Un specified important tasks arising in enhancing the fighting efficiency of the unit in every way, including those of reorganizing the unit as required by the developing reality, of revising and supplementing its operational plan, of continuously modernizing its weapons and other combat and technical equipment and keeping combat readiness and of organizing and conducting its training to meet the features of modern warfare and the actual conditions.

The Supreme Commander visited the library and the hall of soldiers.

Noting that the unit should properly manage the hall, he stressed that it should focus on intensifying the five-point ideological education set by the Party, so as to train all its service personnel into indomitable fighters who will not abandon their revolutionary faith even though they should die.

He took warm care of the soldiers’ living conditions, touring the mess hall, daily-use warehouse, bean storehouse and other places of the unit.

Walking for long along the campus of the unit’s headquarters which looks just like a holiday camp, he chatted with its commanding officers, inquiring into the command and management of the unit.

He presented the unit with binoculars and an automatic rifle as a gift and then posed for a photograph with the soldiers.
