Torchlight Procession Held

A torchlight procession of young vanguard in celebration of the 70th founding anniversary of the Workers’ Party of Korea, “Young People, Forward Following the Great Party!” was held at

Present there on invitation were delegates who were invited to the celebration event, officials of the Party, armed forces, power organs, public organizations, ministries and national agencies, service people of the Korean People’s Army and the Korean People’s Internal Security Forces, unconverted long-term prisoners repatriated from south Korea who are patriotic reunification fighters, heroes, bereaved families of revolutionary martyrs, persons who were honoured to receive the great leaders and meritorious workers.
Foreign delegations on their visit to the DPRK for participating in the celebration event including those of political parties, foreign diplomatic envoys and representatives of international organizations, military attaches of foreign embassies in the DPRK and other foreign guests were invited.
Also present there were the congratulatory groups of overseas Koreans including that of Koreans resident in Japan, compatriots and the chief of the Pyongyang Mission of the Anti-Imperialist National Democratic Front.
The procession columns entered the square amidst the indomitable faith and commitment of five million young vanguard who are determined to carry forward the Juche revolutionary cause which had started on Mt Paektu under the leadership of the ever-victorious Workers’ Party of Korea.
He waved back to the cheering participants in the procession as a token of his congratulations on them who were greeting the 70th founding anniversary of the WPK.
The rostrum was taken by senior officials of the Party, the State and the army, chief secretaries of provincial Party committees, officials of the Party and armed forces organs, and meritorious workers.

Columns of students of revolutionary schools and universities and young working people marched in fine array with a determination to add eternal glory to the proud history and traditions of the great WPK which has put forward young people as its sons and daughters and heroes of the era and administers the politics of love for and attaching importance to young people.
The audience applauded the reliable and promising young people, the young vanguard in the Songun era.
