From the Chinese side there were vice-chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference and director of the International Liaison Department of the CPC Central Committee, executive vice-minister of Foreign Affairs, executive vice-director of the Central Foreign Affairs Office of the CPC, vice-director of the General Political Department of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army, vice-director of the International Liaison Department of the CPC Central Committee, the Chinese ambassador to the DPRK and other members of the delegation.
From the Korean side there were Kim Ki Nam and Kim Yang Gon, secretaries of the Central Committee of the WPK.

Adding that his delegation came to Korea with a mission to defend and add brilliance to the blood-sealed militant friendship of the parties, governments and peoples of China and the DPRK generation after generation and develop the bilateral relations of friendship and cooperation in political, economic, military, cultural and all other fields in every way onto a new, high stage, he continued that it is the steadfast policy of the Chinese party and government to invariably consolidate and develop the strategic Sino-DPRK friendship with glorious traditions.
Liu Yunshan said that the Chinese party and government will strive to admirably defend, consolidate and develop the strategic bilateral ties, so as to bring happiness to the two countries and peoples with the concerted efforts of their Korean counterparts, stressing that they attach special importance to the bilateral relations which were established and fostered by the leaders of older generation of the two parties and two countries.
