Visit to Kumsusan Palace of the Sun

Kim Jong Un, First Secretary of the Workers’ Party of Korea, First Chairman of the National Defence Commission of the DPRK and Supreme Commander of the Korean People’s Army, visited the Kumsusan Palace of the Sun at 00:00 on October 10, the 70th founding anniversary of the Workers’ Party of Korea and paid high tribute to President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il.

He was accompanied by senior officials of the Central Committee of the WPK.

He entered the hall where stand the statues of Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il.

The statues were flanked by flags of the Party and the DPRK and the guards of honour of the Ground, Naval, and Air and Anti-aircraft Forces of the Korean People’s Army and the Worker-Peasant Red Guards.

The head of the guards of honour of the KPA Ground, Navy, Air and Anti-Aircraft Force and the Worker-Peasant Red Guards made a salute towards the statues.

A floral basket in the name of Kim Jong Un was placed before the statues.

Also laid there was a floral basket in the name of the Central Committee of the WPK.

Kim Jong Un, together with other visitors, paid high tribute to the statues.

He entered the hall of immortality where Kim Il Sung lies in state.
