With a total floor space of over 11 390 square metres, the four-storey ship, 120 metres long and 25 metres wide, has a displacement of 3 500 tons and a capacity of at least 1 230 customers, who can be served popular local and foreign dishes while enjoying sightseeing onboard.
The ship is fully equipped with modern service facilities including various restaurants, both indoor and outdoor, coffee shop, soft-drink room, banquet hall and shop.
The supreme leader made the rounds of the ship to inquire about details of the building of the ship and preparations for service activities.



The design of the ship and the interior and exterior construction are at the top level, he said, adding that various restaurants arranged on each floor with the cylindrical hall of the ship as the centre are wonderful, all the dining halls are diverse and peculiar in style and the views of Pyongyang the rotary viewing restaurant on the fourth floor commands are a sight to behold.

As the ship has a whopping capacity, he said, the normal operation of it needs a good supply of raw materials. And he took a measure to this end.
It is important for the staff to serve the customers well with a high sense of duty, he noted. He stressed that a particular attention should be paid to raising the quality of the foods and service activities should be conducted meticulously so that customers do not feel any inconvenience. He added that sewage disposal should be carried out according to the rules to prevent pollution of the river.
He described the full-service ship as a structure that shows intuitively the looks of socialist Korea that is thriving and being civilized day by day and how all dreams are being realized on this land. The ship is a fruit of the Party’s plan and intention to make the people, who have remained faithful to the Party overcoming a host of difficulties, enjoy all benefits of socialism, he said. He ordered the ship should come into operation before October 10.
