Youth Artistic Group Performance Enjoyed

Kim Jong Un, First Secretary of the Workers’ Party of Korea, First Chairman of the DPRK National Defence Commission and Supreme Commander of the Korean People’s Army, saw a performance Song of Youth Following the Sun given by the Central Youth Artistic Motivational Team.

Among the audience were Hwang Pyong So, Choe Ryong Hae, Pak Yong Sik and other senior Party and military officials, service personnel and staff of the military and civilian artistic organizations.

Starting with small chorus Song of the Kim Il Sung Socialist Youth League and People’s Jubilation, the performers staged narrative poem and male solo Golden Cushion, witty talk The Name of Youth, harmonica and mixed chorus Youth, Go Ahead Following the Party, poetic narrative The Bosom of the Great Sun and other pieces.

They fully demonstrated the conviction that the DPRK will shine as a youth power which is always full of youthful vigour thanks to the most elite army of youth raised by the peerlessly great persons of Mt Paektu and the militant stamina and optimism of the young men and women dashing forward towards a bright future.

The supreme leader was greatly pleased that the artistic motivational team members put on a good show with those work pieces which meet the characteristics of young people and are of great cognitive and educative significance, showcasing the ideological and spiritual traits of the youths who are creating Songun-based youth culture.

The performance shows the Party’s 70-year history is that of attaching importance to youth and building an invincible youth power, he said. He lavished praise on the performance, describing it as a picture-perfect show that sensitively reflects the political issues set forth by the Party, a performance that contains all he wants to tell the youth and pulsates with the spirit of the times, and the best of the performances of the same kind he has ever seen.

The artistic motivational team should create and perform more fine work pieces that deal with all-important issues to be upheld in ideological education of the young people as intended by the Party Central Committee, he said, specifying tasks to be tackled in further developing the artistic group.
