Visit to Sinuiju Gauge Factory

Kim Jong Un, First Secretary of the Workers’ Party of Korea, First Chairman of the DPRK National Defence Commission and Supreme Commander of the Korean People’s Army, gave on-site guidance at the Sinuiju Gauge Factory.

Shaking hands with the officials of the factory, Kim Jong Un repeatedly spoke highly of their feats, saying that he was very pleased to receive the report that the factory had developed state-of-the-art gauges that meet world standards, that the factory has carried out a praiseworthy thing and that he went there to see the developers.

The  supreme  leader  first  went  round  the  monument  to  the  revolutionary  exploits  of  the  great leaders Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il and the hall of education in the history of their revolutionary activities.

He continued in delight that the factory, to which the great leaders had always paid deep attention and he also attaches great importance, has carried out an instruction the great leaders gave the factory by developing new and modern gauges used in different fields of the national economy and national defence.

After making the rounds of processing and assembly workshops, sci-tech dissemination room and other places of the factory, he learned in detail about the technical specifications and performance of the new products.

Referring to the great importance of the factory, he advanced the tasks to be tackled by it.

Noting that the factory should launch a dynamic struggle to produce advanced gauges which are made at a highly Juche-oriented, modern and homemade basis in larger quantities, relying on the recent achievement, he set the goal of production for the factory.

The factory solved one of the matters of the greatest concern to the Party Central Committee and thus prepared an excellent gift to the 70th founding anniversary of the WPK, he said, adding that the remarkable successes recently achieved in different parts of the country are a demonstration of the invincible spirit of Songun Korea.

He noted that touring the factory, he keenly felt its workers are highly revolutionary and that nothing would be impossible if he should work with them. He then told them that he would become an honorary manager of the factory in token of his deepest trust in them.

There is no peak that cannot be scaled by our workers if they live and work like those of Kunja-ri in the 1950s and the former need to wage a higher stage mass movement to emulate the spirit and way of working of workers in Kunja-ri along with the Three-Revolution Red Flag Movement, he stressed.

He expressed expectation and conviction that the officials and other employees of the factory would actively contribute to building a prosperous country by developing and producing more gauges to be sent to different fields of the national economy and the People’s Army in the revolutionary spirit of implementing their tasks without fail in faithful support of the line of building an economic giant and the strategic plan of the Party, before posing for a photograph with them.
