Visit to Corn Processing Factory

Kim Jong Un, First Secretary of the Workers’ Party of Korea, First Chairman of the DPRK National Defence Commission and Supreme Commander of the Korean People’s Army, toured the newly-built Pyongyang Corn Processing Factory.

Feasting his eyes on the factory, he said in delight that another instruction of Chairman Kim Jong Il who devoted his heart and soul to improving the diet of the Pyongyang citizens was carried out as the factory was built in the drive to create the new Pyongyang spirit and Pyongyang speed.

Making the rounds of the production processes, sample display room, general control room, sci-tech dissemination room, experiment and analysis room and gym, he got familiar with construction and production.

Noting that the factory is an important factory that should make a positive contribution to improving the diet of the Pyongyang citizens, he specified tasks to be tackled by the factory and ways to implement them—producing a variety of processed corn products in larger quantity by normalizing production at a high rate, adopting proper measures for materials supply, carrying on scrupulous business management, paying special attention to strictly maintaining hygienic safety of products and their quality, and developing all products so that they can win popularity among the people.

He spoke highly of the Pyongyang citizens who contributed to building the factory and the officials, teachers and researchers of Kim Il Sung University, Kim Chaek University of Technology, Pyongyang University of Mechanical Engineering and Pyongyang Han Tok Su University of Light Industry who made tangible contributions to modernizing the factory.

He expressed his expectation and conviction that the officials and other employees of the factory would contribute to handing down the ardent love  of  the  great  leaders  President  Kim  Il  Sung  and  Chairman
Kim Jong Il for people through generations by producing tasty and highly nutritive processed corn products to be supplied to people, and had a photo session with them.
