Disturber of Peace and Source of War

Peace is the unanimous desire of the world people. But the long-cherished dream of mankind has not yet been realized. In several regions and countries the unstable situation continues and the local people’s life is flagrantly being trampled upon. Wars are inflicting deaths and sufferings on innocent people. Cities and villages are set to fire and cultural assets are being laid waste.

The US imperialists are trampling upon the mankind’s desire for peace and indulging in war and invasion. The US has committed numerous military invasions and wars since it appeared on this planet.

Since the end of the Second World War, it has carried out military intervention and invasion in different parts of the world, adopting its domination over the world as the main buttress of its external strategy.

Entering the 1950s, there were many military coups in Asia, Africa and Latin America—23 times from the end of the Second World War to the mid-1960s, 20 times from 1960 to 1968 and in 20 Latin- American countries in the 1950s.

The US imperialists cooked up internal conflicts and military coups in several countries and perpetrated blatant military intervention against those countries under the signboard of “defence of peace”. Particularly, they invaded the anti-imperialist and independent countries and countries located at military and strategic vantage points. The military invasion of Panama and Grenada in the 1980s, the air raid of Yugoslavia in the 1990s and the armed invasions of Afghanistan and Iraq in the 2000s are part of such examples.

The recent, complicated situation in Ukraine was also engineered by the US.

The US imperialists are placing the Korean peninsula into the constant danger of war and menacing its peace. Out of aim to invade the DPRK and gain military supremacy in northeast Asia they have occupied south Korea for seven decades and committed ceaseless war provocations against the DPRK. The US started a war (June 25, 1950-July 27, 1953) on the Korean peninsula, but sustained an ignominious defeat. It has committed ceaseless military provocations such as the incident of the spy ship Pueblo, incident of EC-121 giant spy plane and Panmunjon incident, and staged war exercises against the DPRK involving huge forces of aggression such as joint military exercises Team Spirit, RIMPAC and Ulji Freedom Guardian on and around the Korean peninsula, watching every chance for invasion of the latter.

The US turned south Korea into the world-largest nuclear arsenal by employing nuclear weapons and other military hardware. It has made uninterrupted attempts to launch a nuclear preemptive strike against the DPRK.

This year alone it staged Key Resolve and Foal Eagle joint military exercises, the aim of which are to make a sudden attack at the DPRK by the “combined forces” and occupy Pyongyang. Branding the DPRK’s recent successful SLBM test-fire to defend the country’s sovereignty and smash the aggressive attempts of imperialists as a grave provocation, it tries to ship the THAAD into south Korea.

Although the situation on the Korean peninsula is constantly tense, war has been prevented entirely thanks to the peace-loving stance and efforts of the DPRK.

As long as there is the US on this planet, peace and security cannot be guaranteed in any parts of the world. The struggle to oppose the war provocations of the US which disturbs peace is the only way to firmly defending peace.
