Visit to Taedonggang Combined Fruit Farm

He was greatly satisfied with the good produce, checking the number of apples per tree and the weight a piece in the fields.




A bumper fruit harvest is expected for this year that marks the 70th anniversaries of the country’s liberation and the founding of the Workers’ Party of Korea, he said, adding he was happy to think of the people receiving apples delightedly, a mere sight of the harvest makes him pretty full and it is a sign of fortune for the country.

Specifying tasks to be tackled to boost fruit production remarkably, he pointed to the need to increase per-hectare yield considerably, put the production of saplings of good species on a normal track, establish a fruit and livestock farming cycle and fully adopt advanced techniques in line with the global trend of pomiculture development.
Feasting his eyes on the vast stretches of the fields, he said the farm’s officials and workers have brought such a rich harvest by working hard to carry out the instructions of the Chairman and they have prepared a worthy present for the Party founding anniversary, and he gave his thanks to them.
He called on the employees to further develop the farm into a world-class fruit producer and the orchard of the people.
