Concert Given by National Symphony Orchestra
The National Symphony Orchestra gave a concert "Symphony of Socialism" at the Moranbong Theatre on September 10 in celebration of the 70th founding anniversary of the DPRK.
Among the audience were Kim Yong Nam, member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea and president of the Presidium of the DPRK Supreme People's Assembly; Pak Pong Ju, member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the WPK Central Committee, vice-chairman of the DPRK State Affairs Commission and premier of the DPRK Cabinet; and other senior Party and government officials, officials of the WPK Central Committee, military organs, ministries and national agencies, and officials and merited persons of institutions and industrial establishments in Pyongyang.
Invited there were members of overseas compatriots' congratulatory groups and delegations, individual overseas compatriots and the chief of the Pyongyang mission of the Anti-Imperialist National Democratic Front.
Also present on invitation were diplomatic envoys of different countries, representatives of international organizations and military attachés in the DPRK and other foreign guests.
The concert started with prelude " The Glorious Motherland" and the Patriotic Song (national anthem) followed by seven movements such as "Ode to the People’s Republic", "My Country Is So Nice", "The Great Defender", "My Thriving Country", "Song of Advance of Socialism", "Beloved Music" and "Thanks to the Party".
